CAMILLE ALBANE FRANCHISE CONVENTION IN RESPONSIBLE MODE

200 franchisees of the Camile Albane hair salon chain met in Marrakech for their 2023 Leadership Seminar. This year had to be more meaningful. No more jumping on a quadbike or similar thrills, time for a responsible programme and inspiring encounters!

Marrakech was chosen for its January sunshine, hotel capacity and variety of available activities. The convention was shaped by a productive plenary session and three evening events, one held in a Moroccan palace and the others in fashionable locations around the city.

But the abiding memory for the whole group was a very emotional afternoon!

The 200 brand franchisees visited a Moroccan child protection charity that provides a safe space for young people who have experienced trauma or social hardship.

Fortunately, the charity has spacious premises covering several hectares, making it possible to accommodate a large group.

To ensure their visit had maximum benefit, the franchisees were divided into small groups, each with a specific goal.

The visitors tried their hand at planting trees, picking peas or weeding in the vegetable garden, learning to bake bread with the centre’s cook, skateboarding or playing football with the kids…

As the day ended, the football pitch served as a meeting spot for a mint tea. Whilst it was served, the children unwrapped the school supplies and toys brought by the franchisees.

The seminar in Marrakech made a lasting impression! A fantastic example of a trip to Morocco that was inspiring for the company and rewarding for children who are too often forgotten!
